About Me

My name is Christopher Fry

I’m using this site as an outlet on my personal views on my passions and interests. I hope it stimulates your thinking and helps change the world we live in.

My interest in politics started as a young boy when my dad, who is an Anglican Priest, was stationed in a suburb called Elsie’s River on the Cape Flats in the 1980’s. This was in the heat of the uprising against apartheid, and I still remember how the police brutally clamped down on the protestors in Halt Road, the main street. From there, I went on to study politics and attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Cape Town, majoring in Political Studies, in 1998. I then joined the Democratic Alliance in 2007 and am an alumnus of the DA Young Leaders Program. I still remain an active member of the party.

My interest in music started at a young age too, when my dad bought me my first piano when I was 5 years old. I have been playing the piano ever since, and I have a small home recording studio. I play a little bit of jazz and pop, and have played in various churches both in Cape Town, and in Denmark

Finally, I have a keen interest in sports and follow Rugby (Western Province, the Stormers and the Springboks), Cricket (The Cobras and the Proteas) and Football (Cape Town City FC, Bafana Bafana and Tottenham Hotspur).
